Modern Space Construction was founded in 2014 by John Herzig and Aaron Lopreste — two contractors whose partnership started in the 1990s on residential projects across Greater Atlanta. When they launched MSC, they saw a clear gap: homeowners needed a remodeling company that could manage every phase of a project with real accountability, start to finish. That’s what we built.
Between us, John brings over 37 years of hands-on construction experience and Aaron brings over 30. That’s 67 combined years of knowing how a project should run — the right way to frame, the right sub to call, the right way to handle what comes up mid-project. We’ve seen it all, and we know how to handle it.
We self-perform the structural, framing, carpentry, and finish work ourselves. For the mechanical trades — electrical, plumbing, and HVAC — we work with licensed subcontractors who have been our trade partners for an average of 10 years. These aren’t strangers we called from a list. They’re people we trust, who know our standards, and who show up the same way we do.
